Edna Lake

Mrs. Edna E. Connie Lake, 93, of Augusta, Georgia passed away Monday, February 11, 2013. She was Past President and life member of American Legion Auxiliary Unit 205; Past President and member of La Femme Cabane 719 and Grande Cabane De Georgia; Life Member of V.F.W. Auxiliary 649; a member of DAV Auxiliary Pendleton King #10; and member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary 1197. Mrs. Lake is survived by her daughter, Martha Jan (Donald) Hines of East Lansing, Michigan; and son, Ron Browder of Columbia, South Carolina; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM, Thursday at the funeral home. A Celebration of Life service will be held 2 PM, Friday, February 15, 2013 in the Lumpkin Road Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Thomas Ray, Johnny Chaffin, Kevin Liston, Aurelious Winter, Kris Kennedy and Alfredo Zamora. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Catholic Social Services, 2110 Broad Street, Augusta, Georgia 30904 in Connie's memory.
