Elinor Powell

Mrs. Elinor Powell, 89, of Augusta, GA, passed away on February 28, 2014 at her residence. Graveside services will be held on Monday, March 3, 2014 at 3pm at Hillcrest memorial Park. Born in Wrens, GA, she was the daughter of the late James Lawson Wimburn and Agnes Fleming Wimburn. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Rudy Moffa, son, David Moffa, sister, Jean Watton, brothers, Burke Wimburn, and Rob Wimburn. She is survived by her husband, Oscar Powell, son, Stan Powell, Augusta, GA, daughters, Lenora Moffa and her partner Claire McCall, LaDonna Moffa Brandon and her husband Terry, St. Petersburg, FL, sister, Agnes Fleming Silvey, granddaughter, Gaia Moffa, nieces, Sonja Silvey Landrum, Wanda Silvey Harrington, Cyndi Silvey Taylor, nephew John Burke Wimburn. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 2, 2014 from 6-8 pm at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Lumpkin Road Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Jud C.
