Augusta-Thank You Lord we were there Monday, May 23rd at 4:20 P.M. to witness your awesome power at work in the separation of flesh and spirit. There we saw the end of suffering and the beginning of peace for a dear loved one, our Mother.
Born May 26, 1925 to Ollie Mae and Commador Dewey Holland. Mama was preceded in death by her husband, Frank E. Jennings, son, William Dean Jennings and sister, Eugenia Howell. Surviving are sons, David Jennings, Neal Jennings, and Daughter, Terry Jean McGee, grandsons, Kendall McGee, Markheal, Britt and Robert “Bud” Jennings, and Troy and Scott Hall. One granddaughter, Jennifer Jennings. Several great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, Cayden Clark. One remaining niece on her side, Connie Jo Young.
A most loving mother, she devoted all her time to cooking, cleaning, and caring for her family. She maintained a spotless house, at the same time preparing huge feast on Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Easter for the entire family. Mama also couldn’t stand to see a grave go unkempt. She loved working in her yard, she like to dance, bowl, and loved life and her family.
In our teen years, she worked in food service in a management capacity (University Hospital) and later she would clean houses and doctor offices with pride. We all love you Mama and hate to say goodbye, but you belong to the Father in heaven that made you. We cannot thank Him enough for loaning you to us for so long. Thank You Lord Jesus.
Graveside services will be held at 11 A.M. on Thursday, May 26, 2016, in the Bellevue Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Rick Coule officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Elliott Sons Funeral Home Lumpkin Rd.
