Ernestine Moore Walters

Ms. Ernestine "Teena" Walters, of Augusta, passed away Friday, May 2, 2014. She was an accomplished pianist who played by ear. Teena worked for the post office for a number of years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be deeply missed. Ms. Walters was preceded in death by her parents, Earnest and Bertha Moore. She is survived by her two daughters, Sherry Shutters and Tamara Dainis; brother, Tom (Ginger) Moore; three grandchildren, Sabrina Shutters, David Dainis and Michael Dainis; niece, Stephanie Jarvis; and her four legged companion, Colonel P. Taco. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 - 8PM at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Tuesday, May 6, 2014 in the Lumpkin Road Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Bernard Sonny Mason officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mann Memorial United Methodist Church, 2705 Milledgeville Rd, Augusta, GA 30904.
