BEECH ISLAND, S.C. - Ms. Fannie Lou Newman Still Porter, 76, of Beech Island, SC passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at University Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 25, 2013 at 11am in the Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home, 2524 Lumpkin Road, Augusta. Burial will follow in the Hephzibah Vance Cemetery. A lifelong resident of the Augusta area, she was the daughter of the late Homer and Cora Newman. She was a home maker. Fannie liked to watch, sports, TV and spend time in the outdoors. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Porter. She is survived by her children, Shirley (Mike) Cole, Beech Island, SC, Bobby Ray Still, Hephzibah, GA; Paul Daniel Still, Jr., Hephzibah, GA, Oral Eugene Still, Augusta, GA, Sandra Dee Debbie (Sammy) Miller, Warrenville, SC, 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 24, 2013 from 6-8pm at Elliott Sons Funeral Home.
