

Mr. Goodfriend was a former member of the VFW. He retired from the United States Marine Corp after 23 years. His hobbies included going to the beach, airplanes, boats, traveling to lighthouses, and working in his shed.
Mr. Goodfriend is preceded in death by his parents, Archie and Ethel Goodfriend; siblings, Barbara Ann Holder, Karen Benjamin, Randy Holder, and Gary Holder. Survivors include his loving wife, of 15 years, Janice Goodfriend; children, Peggy Brushingham, LuAnn Davis (William), Toni Birmingham, Kerri LaRusso, Wendy Johnson, Lee Alewine, James Alewine, and Daniel Goodfriend (Elesha); grandchildren, Morgan Davis, Preston Davis, Kelsie Alewine, Andrew Alewine, Kaylie Birmingham, Alexis Birmingham, Haley Goodfriend, Logan Goodfriend, Louie LaRusso, Isabelle LaRusso, Chelsy Alewine, Jake Johnson, and Noah Johnson; siblings, Barbara Ann Holder, Sue Holder, Cheryl Goodfriend, Sandy Holder, Bonnie Holder, Terry Holder, Charles Holder and Archie Holder, and good friends, Russell Jones and Melissa Conley.
The family will receive friends from 3-5PM, Friday, March 25, 2016, at Elliott Sons Funeral Home on Lumpkin Road. A memorial service will be held at 5:30PM, Friday, March 25, 2016. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Wounded Warriors Project PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
