

Helen will be missed by her two children, Kenneth and Sue; son-in-law John Strange; four grandchildren: Hunter Young, Jarrad Young, Taylor Strange (Angie), and Rachael Young; three great-grandchildren: Gage Young, Preston Kill, and Alayna Strange; loving and attentive nieces and nephews; as well as many special friends.
Mrs. Young was born in Louisville, GA and lived in the Augusta area all her life. After being a stay at home mother while her children were young, Helen worked in real estate in and around Augusta. Helen was a faithful member for 52 years of Cliffwood Presbyterian Church, serving as president of the Women of the Church, Sunday School teachers, and deacon and elder.
Helen was known for her selflessness, her grace, wit, kindness, her unwavering faith in God, and her never ending and generous love for family.
A celebration of Helen’s life will take place on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 11:30 at Cliffwood Presbyterian Church. Family and friends will be welcomed preceding the service starting at 10:00 at Elliott Sons Funeral Home on Lumpkin Road.
