Mr. Jim was a member of Canaan Baptist Church. He had 2 Master’s degrees; one in Special Education and the other in Business. He loved spending time with his family and missed the family he did not live around.
Survivors include his loving wife, Sylvia Schlegel; children, Steven Schlegel and Stephanie Schlegel; sister, Kimberly Haines; brother, Chuck Schlegel (Sonya) and Chad Schlegel (Stefanie) ; Step-children, Neil Jenkins (Breann), Rodney Jenkins (Summer) and Robbie Jenkins (Johanna); one step-grandson, Ronnie Jenkins; and many nieces, nephews and other family members who loved him dearly.
Funeral services will be held at 12pm, Monday January 15, 2018 at the Lumpkin Road Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior at the funeral home.
