Mr. Sikes served in the United States Army and was an avid Ham Radio operator. Jimmy retired from Sears Roebuck after many dedicated years of service. He was a member of American Legion Post 205.
Mr. Sikes was a devoted son to his parents, J. P. and Luz Sikes and a loving husband to his wife, Linda Sikes and friend to his brother-in-law, Robert Shoback who all precede him in death. He is survived by his two sisters, Martha (William) Denny and Violet Shoback; nieces and nephews, Mike Denny, Scott Denny, Leigh Handschumacher, Kristen Krulack and Michelle Deprimo; and his mother-in-law, Essie Mae Broadnax.
Funeral Services will be held 12 noon, Friday, December 6, 2013 in the Bellevue Memorial Gardens Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
