It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of Margaret Elizabeth Coleman who was called home on Wednesday September 16,,2026 at the age of 67

Margaret was born on August 13, 1959 in Augusta, GA to the late Heywood Newby and Margaret (Hewitt) Newby.

Margaret loved spending time with her beloved husband, family, friends, and her work family. She has touched so many people's lives with her kindness and bright spirit. She was the sunshine and the rock to everyone who knew her. Always there for everyone, no matter what she was going through, whether it was for helping or just being a listening ear she was there no matter what.

Her memory will be cherished by those who survived her:

Her daughters Heather Ystenes (Trenton, Abigail, and Waylon)

April Coleman (Jaylyn and Ethan)

Her brother James Newby (Haize and Grady)

Her sisters Nancy Ferrel (Dan, Zach, and Grayson)

Dianne Rawlins (Phillip, Kevin, Dusty, Stephanie, Chris, and Bentley)

We extend our heartfelt sympathies to the family, friends,coworkers who were like family to her, and to all who mourn Margaret's departure

Visitation will be on Monday September 21, 2026 from 5-7pm at Elliot and sons funeral home on 2524 Lumpkin road Augusta, GA 30906

Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday September 22,2026 at 11am at Elliott and sons funeral home followed by graveyard service at Hillcrest Memorial Park on Deans Bridge Road Augusta, GA 30906. All are welcome to attend.

Pallbearers will be James Newby, Dan Ferrel, Kevin Rawlins, Jaylyn Johnson, Ethan Coleman, and Trenton Dinkins.
