Born in Rock Hill, SC she was the daughter of the late Josie V, and Sudie Barrett, Sr.. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband , Clifford Eugene Knox ,daughter, Teresa Bronson, sisters, Nell B. Holms, Dorothy Polk, brother, Josie Vernon Barrett, Jr. Mary is survived by her son, C E (Donna) Knox, daughter, Carolyn Owens, ten grandchildren, twenty four great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 18, 2011 at 7pm at Elliott Sons Funeral Home Chapel, 2524 Lumpkin Rd, Augusta. The family will receive friends from 6pm until the hour of service at the funeral home. Interment will be private in Beaufort National Cemetery.
