Mindy was born to Eddie and Tressa Raley in Augusta, GA. She graduated from the 2004 class of AR Johnson with honors. Mindy also served in the United States Air Force. She attended Aiken Technical School where she graduated with honors, earning her Associates degree as a registered nurse. Mindy continued to serve her community, caring for others as a hospice nurse and also an oncology nurse.
Mindy is preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Leona Belanger; paternal grandfather, John Braddy Raley; maternal grandmother, Renate Jackson; maternal grandfather, George Jackson; and nephew, Gavin Seth James. Survivors include her children, Gavin Lee Sweeney (Kailea), Hayden Tyler Reese, Layla Lynn Sweeney and Zoe Lena Reese; parents, Eddie and Tressa Raley; fiancé, Joseph Martin; siblings, her twin sister, Wendy James (Vernon) and Terri Raley (Jerry Roberts); nieces and nephews, Chandler Young, Bailie Young, Adrien Young, Ryker James, Garrett James and Christine James.
Funeral services will be held at 4pm, Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at the Lumpkin Road Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior at the funeral home.
