Born on January 27, 1947 in Warren, PA, he was the son of the late Walter and Ethel Peterson. He was predeceased by his brother Robert Peterson. Richard loved playing golf, cheering on the Cleveland Browns, Penn State, and Notre Dame, and especially spending quality time with his family, wood-working and riding along golf courses with his grandson’s Cody, Brandon and Tyler.
Richard’s legacy will live on through his cherished family: his devoted wife of 54 years Sandra; daughter, Cathryn Rivera; son, Richard Peterson Jr. (Stormy); grandson's, Cody Swartz (Lee), Brandon Swartz (Jessica), Tyler Rivera (Chelsey), and Brett Peterson; brother, Larry Peterson (Laura); as well as numerous relatives and friends.
