Mike and family, so sorry to hear of Mr. Russell's passing away. I remember when we were kids Mike, him yelling at me and Mike Martin for jumping over the fence coming to see you. LOL Funny the silliest things we remember. He was a good man and served his country and family well. Peace be with you and your family. John Tucker

My Dad,Robert Earl Russell
was the kind of man everybody liked. A genuinely compassionate and caring man. A man of integrity. If he told you he was going to do something you could go on with the rest of your day focusing on something else because you knew that matter was taken care of. In my 52 years I've known a precious few men of his caliber. If you wanted to know how to conduct yourself in this life, to know what was really important when it came to being a man you needn't look any further than him. Whatever the role of the day was for my Dad, and sometimes there where many, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, sergeant, boss, friend, he excelled at them all, with little or no effort. He never let us down, not one time. Taking care of family was just what you do. I learned that early on in my life, he taught by example. He was our fixer, healer, our comfort zone. He will be painfully missed. So on behalf of my mother, myself, Robbie and Tyler I would like to take this time to say thank you Daddy, Pop, Bob for being who you were and who you were to us. One thing I will not say with respects to my Dad today is goodbye, instead I'll close with we love you Daddy, we miss you , and we'll catch up with you later.
