Ruby departed this life April 29, 2023 at 10:50 p.m. She grew up in Pahokee, FL most of her childhood and early adulthood. She had 10 brothers and sisters: Jessie, Agnes, Judy, Pauline, Robert, Alfred, E.W., Robert, John and David. In the 1950s she moved to New York City and later moved to other places before residing in the Charlotte, NC area the last six years of her life.
She leaves to mourn: eight children George Lee Bynes of Delray Beach, FL, Joyce Ann Brown of Norfolk, VA, Gloria Jean Mills of Goshen, NY, Diane Carol Alexander of Queens, NY, Donna Marie Mills of Cornelius, NC, Lonnie Lorenzo Mills of Roosevelt, NY, Tanya Lynn Mills of Brooklyn, NY and Timothy Craig Mills of Bronx, NY. Thirteen grandchildren, Ralph, Devin, LaShawn, Joy, Doritha, Aja, Ebony, Paul, Malik, Jamila, Katera, LaQuita, Philip and several great-grandchildren.
