Mrs. Sonja G Schuster Staab

A service to celebrate Sonja’s life will be held at 10am, Thursday, December 29, 2011 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Interment will be at Bellevue Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Grovetown, GA.

Mrs. Staab was born on March 24, 1930 in Erlangen, Germany, a daughter of the late Johann and Katherine Schuster. Mrs. Staab was a Domestic Engineer most of her life. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. She was a compassionate lady and a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Anneliese Distler, brothers, Karl Ammon, Stefan Schuster, and Ludwig Schuster, all of Germany.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 52 years, Verlin C. Staab; her daughter, Katrina C. (Staab) Berzett and husband Wade of Augusta; grandchildren, Grant Mixon II and Victoria H. Mixon, of Augusta; sisters, Sophie Fenstermacher of TX, Ingeborg Friedrich, Liesel Paul, of Germany; brothers, Helmut Schuster, Erich Schuster, of Germany; seven sisters-in-law, three brothers-in-law, numerous nieces, nephews and Godchildren.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 from 6-8pm with a Rosary at 7:30pm at Elliott and Sons Funeral Home, 2524 Lumpkin Rd, Augusta, GA.
