Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 28, 2012 at 11am at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Pastor Bryan Cockrell.
Born in Greeneville, SC he was the son of the late James and Elizabeth Rogers. He was a lifelong resident of the Augusta area. He was a truck driver for Starrette Trucking. He was an avid NASCAR fan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers. He is survived by his wife Brenda Odom Rogers, sons, William (Melinda) Rogers, Jr. Evans, GA; Joseph Rogers, Augusta, GA; daughter Lynn (Mike) Rushton, Aiken, SC; sister, Margaret Winn, Martinez, GA, 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and his dog Sandy.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 27, 2012 from 6-8pm at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, 2524 Lumpkin Rd, Augusta.
