Barbara Ann Williams led a life filled with dedication, love, and warmth. From her roots in Denver, Colorado, to her roles as a wife, mother, and independent woman, Barbara left a lasting impression on those around her.
Born on April 3, 1933, to Robert and Helen Burroughs, Barbara's upbringing was grounded in family values. Her education at West High School culminated in her graduation in May of 1951, marking the beginning of her journey into adulthood.
Marriage to Kenneth Milton Williams brought forth a family of five sons, a testament to the love and commitment shared between Barbara and her late husband. Following Kenneth's passing, Barbara's resilience shone brightly as she worked tirelessly, often juggling multiple jobs, to ensure her children had a stable and loving home.
Family held a special place in Barbara's heart, with holidays like Christmas and Easter cherished for the joy they brought. Her simple pleasures included sipping coffee, finding solace in the pages of her Bible, indulging in music—particularly Elvis Presley's tunes—watching movies, and unraveling puzzles. Her fondness for the color pink reflected her gentle and nurturing spirit, mirrored in her impeccably kept home, always radiating warmth and hospitality.
Barbara's independence remained a defining trait throughout her life, embodying strength and resilience until her final days. Though she is no longer with us, Barbara's legacy lives on through her surviving sons, Paul and Kent (Ilona); her brothers, Gary and Jack, and the multitude of extended family and friends who were touched by her kindness and grace. Words from Barbara, “I’m not saying goodbye, Only see you later!!!
Barbara’s Favorite Scripture
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. Psalm 23:1-4 NKJV
