Our precious Carolyn J. Amarine, 98, died August 5th, 2026. She was born to parents she never knew on July 20, 1928 and adopted by Isabel and Vincent Frank Blanchard. They took wonderful care of her until she met and married a drunken sailor named James Amarine. She introduced Jim to church and Jesus. The rest is history.
Carolyn is survived by her daughters, Linda Engebretsen and Debbie Skaggs; her son, Jimmy; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, the Rev. Jim Amarine.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Advantage Aurora Chase Chapel, 1095 Havana Street, Aurora, CO 80010 on Friday, August 21, 2026, at 10:00 am.
