Erik James Cisneros, age 45, of Aurora, Colorado passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025. Erik was born on July 19, 1980, in Denver, Colorado, to Rosalia Garcia and Salvador Esparza Cisneros, Jr. The youngest of three children: Roxanne and Anthony Michael are his older siblings. Erik grew up with a fun-loving spirit and a heart full of adventure.
He married Marissa Erin Davis, and together they built a loving family, raising their son, Julian, and daughter Asianette.
Erik loved the outdoors and could often be found fishing, camping, or hiking. He was also a passionate Denver Broncos fan and never missed a game. His lifelong friends, Elmont and Robbie, whom he first met in Kindergarten, remained by his side throughout his life, sharing in laughter, sports, and countless memories.
In his younger years, Erik was active in basketball, bowling, and soccer, and proudly served as the Waterboy at Bishop Machebeuf Catholic High School. He also devoted his time as an altar boy at St. Therese Catholic Church, showing his faith and dedication early on.
For more than 20 years, Erik was part of the Discount Tire team, where he worked his way up to Manager. He was respected for his hard work, loyalty, and leadership, and he formed many friendships that extended far beyond the workplace.
Erik’s sister fondly remembers a childhood story that perfectly captured his curious and determined nature. As a little boy, he somehow managed to open three “child-proof” prescription bottles and spill the pills across the counter, prompting a call to Poison Control to ensure everything was safe. That memory continues to bring both laughter and love when remembered.
Erik will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his passion for life’s simple joys, and the warmth he brought to everyone who knew him.
