Gary Delano Franklin

Gary Delano Franklin, a beloved, devoted, and hard-working independent man, he passed away at his home on December 26, 2025, at the age of 85. Born on April 29, 1940, in Denver, Colorado, to the late Dee Dee Jean Vaughn and Willie Franklin. Gary spent his entire life in the city he called home.

Gary was a twin to Larry, who preceded him in death. This loss truly devastated him. He retired as a Postal Clerk with the United States Postal Service, dedicating many years of service to his career.

Although he was never married and had no children of his own, he was a loving brother and uncle. Gary loved his family dearly.

In his personal life, Gary was known to be rather reclusive, preferring the quiet company of close family and friends.

Gary is survived by his brother William (Marsha) Franklin of Denver, CO; his twins son Larry Franklin Jr. of Atlanta, GA, his niece Andrea' Franklin of Denver, CO; three half sibling: Gwen Davis, Ronald Major Franklin and Bobby Franklin, and a host of great nieces, great nephews and other relatives. He will be dearly missed.

A Graveside service will be held at Fairmount Cemetery, located at 430 S Quebec St, Denver, CO 80247, on February 6, 2026, from 10:30 am to 11:00 am.
