Howard Jones Calaway Born 7/18/1922 died 8/18/2014 – 92 years 1 month 10 days old; survived by former wife Marie, daughters Kristine Calaway, Karen Arensen (James); son John Calaway (Debra). 1 sister Elizabeth McPherson, 3 step-daughters, Melanie (Donald) Ruscio, Marilyn (Jack) Prosser, Marsha Arnold, many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Preceded in death by brother, Frank Calaway, and 2d wife Lois, step-son and step-granddaughter. Viewing Wednesday, 9/3/2014 at Advantage Aurora Chase Mortuary 11th & Havana from 5 p.m to 7 p.m.; funeral with reception to follow at Hope Lutheran Church 13th & Macon, Aurora at 10:00 a.m.; burial at Crown Hill Cemetery. Served in WWII as instructor at Lowry AFB, went to France, was in battalion that liberated prisoners in Dachau Concentration Camp. Was Master Plumber, member of Plumbers Union #3. Worked on such projects as reservoirs and water treatment plants. In his younger years he was an avid sportsman.
