Laurie Jean Whalen

Laurie Jean Whalen 11//3/1966 - 1/28/2017. She was preceded in death by her Mother (Irene, 2015), her Father (Dan, 1990), her brother Michael James (1971), her nephew Eric Maddex (1991) and her niece Eliza Arent (1994).

We are grateful for the way Laurie touched each and everyone who passed through her life. We will miss her quick wit and humor, her enthusiasm for life, dancing and diet Dr. Pepper and all the fun we had together.

Her loving family Dan, Connie, Matt, Joan and Conor Whalen, Mary, Dave, Judith, Roy, Emilia and Danny Whalen-Prinzler, Donna, Jesse, Kylie, Cooper, Grant and Michelle Maddex, Marty, Jill Whalen and Emily Stolley, Joan, Doug, Etienne and Mekenna Arent, John and Philippe Whalen-Gouze will all miss having Laurie in our lives. She taught us many great life lessons.

Laurie’s Celebration of Life will take place Saturday 3/4/2017 at 11:00 AM at the Arbor House, 14600 W 32nd Avenue, Golden, Colorado 80401.

Donations may be made to “The Laurie Whalen Rock Star Memorial Fund” at the Bank of the West, Conifer, CO 80401. The fund will enable people with special needs to attend a concert with Laurie’s special friend Michael Franti and his band Spearhead.
