Mary Cay was born and raised in Atkinson, Nebraska and moved to Aurora, CO in 1967. She was an active volunteer (alter society, WE Wives) who loved socializing and traveling. She was a founding member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Prior to, and after, raising children she worked at a few different places including the phone company, a dental office and Olan Mills.
She was the beloved wife of 66 years to William (Bill) Jardee; loving mother to Roger (Leslie) Jardee, Barbara (Robert) Boss, Janel (David) Voglewede, Kurt (Donna) Jardee and Nancy (Ken Goering) Jardee. She was also a very proud grandmother to 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Mary Catherine was preceded in death by her husband Bill, and her infant daughter Cathy.
A rosary service for Mary Cay will be held Thursday, July 17 from 9:00am to 10:00am at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 13120 E Kentucky Avenue, Aurora, CO 80012, followed by a funeral service from 10:00am to 11:00am. Inurnment at Fort Logan National Cemetery will take place at a later date.
