Nicholas Steven Smith

Nicholas Steven Smith, 11, died April 27, 2015. He was born February 2, 2004 in Aurora, the son of David Smith and Jacque Bowers. His paternal Grandmother, Carolee Smith, adopted him. He attended Altura Elementary and more recently Elkhart Elementary where he was in the fifth grade.

Nicholas was passionate about being an acolyte and attending Sunday school at St. Matthew Lutheran church. To know him with his big heart and easy going ways was to love him. He was never known to have an unkind word against anyone or anything and made friends easily. He enjoyed fishing and going to baseball games with his uncles as well as having his grandfather make whipped cream smiley faces on his pancakes.

In addition to his biological parents and his paternal grandmother, his brother Anthony at home survives Nicholas. He also leaves his paternal grandfather, Mark K. Smith also of Aurora; his paternal uncle Kenny Smith (aunt Mindy Smith) and paternal aunt, Cecelia Miller (uncle Phylip Miller), all of Aurora. Cousins Caleb and Lilly Miller as well as Leannah and Landon Smith also survive him. Further, his soon to be stepmother, Sheila Sanchez, survives him.

The memorial service will be held Wednesday May 6th @ 11 am at St Matthew Lutheran church, 1609 Havana, Aurora, CO 80010. There will be a pot luck luncheon reception after the service.
