Pamela was born on January 24, 1952 in Minot, ND to Faye and A. Peter Olson. When Pamela was 12 years old, the family moved to and settled in Denver, CO.
Pamela attended the University of Colorado at Boulder, where she received her Bachelor’s and Nursing degrees. She also received a Master’s Degree in Business from the University of Denver.
She married Mark Allen Ninke on April 19, 1986, and was a loving mother to their two daughters, Kirsten and Kara.
Pamela spent the majority of her career at Spalding Rehabilitation Hospital, where she worked as a nurse and nurse manager for 18 years until she retired.
Pamela was very passionate about animals and was devoted to her cats throughout her life. She also loved working in the garden and tending to her yard and flowers. She will be remembered for her sweet laugh, kindness towards others, and love for all animals.
She is survived by her mother, Faye, brother, Rodney, two daughters, Kirsten and Kara, and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, A. Peter, and husband, Mark.
A memorial service for Pamela will be held on October 24, 2025 at Augustana Lutheran Church in Denver at 1:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Denver Dumb Friends League or MaxFund Animal Adoption Center, two animal rescues in Denver that Pamela was passionate about.
