Ronald N. Thomas of Aurora, Colorado, passed away on Sunday January 14, 2024. He was born December 11, 1933 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. He married Virginia Kalous on July 2, 1952, also from Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
While proudly serving in the United States Air Force, he earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Omaha in Nebraska and did post graduate studies at Troy University in Troy, Alabama.
Before retiring as a Captain in the Air Force, his many tours of duty took him from Germany, Turkey, Japan and many US States in between.
His beloved wife Virginia passed away on May 17, 2022.
He is survived by his four daughters, Lee Ann Moreau, Cher Carlson, Terry Mosley and Kristin Schaible. He was a proud grandfather to 11 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in his name to Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Aurora would be greatly appreciated.
Capt. Thomas will be interred at Ft. Logan Nat’l Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
A visitation for Ronald will be held Wednesday, January 24, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services – Aurora, 1095 Havana Street, Aurora, CO 80010. A graveside service will occur Wednesday, January 24, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 S Sheridan Blvd, Denver, CO 80236. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, January 24, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 1095 Havana Street, Aurora, CO 80010.
