She was born in Menlo, Iowa on December 29, 1933 to Ray and Floy Taylor.
Ruth graduated with a Masters degree from the University of Northern Colorado.
Ruth worked as a Librarian for the Aurora Public Schools.
Some of her hobbies included card making, miniatures and dolls; and was a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma (DKG), the Pilot Club, and the Red Hat Society.
She married Joseph Francis Haney Jr. on August 9, 1964, and together they raised two children Joel, and Christopher Haney.
Ruth is survived by her son Joel, her son Christopher's wife Joyce, and her two grandchildren Mia, and Lydia.
She was predeceased by her son Christopher.
