The life of Sarah Ruth Fields, a beautiful baby girl, began on February 26, 1941, in Beggs, Oklahoma, born to the union of Seaver Fields and Grace Darlene Rolland Fields. She was the third of ten children and was lovingly surrounded by her four brothers—Harvey, Seaver Jr., Billy Ray, and Lewis—and five sisters—Marjorie, Dorothy, Jeanette, Blanch, and Mary. From a young age, Sarah’s life was rooted in love, family, and strong values that would carry her throughout her journey.
At the age of sixteen, Sarah met the love of her life, Edward Bolding, Jr. The two were united in marriage in March of 1958. Their union was blessed abundantly, and within six years they welcomed five beautiful children: Anita, Ernie, Erich, Edward, and Myra. Together, Sarah and Edward built a loving home in Denver, Colorado, where they raised their family with faith, hard work, and devotion.
Sarah was a dedicated and diligent worker throughout her life. In her early years, she served in the Emergency Room at Mercy Hospital as an assistant. She later became a beloved presence at Park Hill Golf Course, where she proudly worked as the Head Waitress for 17 years. Sarah then went on to join the team at Children’s Hospital Colorado as a cashier, where she joyfully served patients, families, and staff for 25 years until her retirement.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Sarah’s greatest joy was her family. After retiring, she spent her time surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, cherishing every moment and pouring love into each generation. She was the heart of her family—supportive, nurturing, and unwavering in her care.
On Friday, October 17, 2025, Sarah departed this life peacefully. She is preceded in death by her devoted husband of over 50 years, Edward Bolding, Jr., and their beloved son Ernie Bolding.
Sarah leaves behind a lasting legacy of love, strength, and unity. She will be forever remembered for her kind spirit, her dedication to family, and the joy she brought to all who knew her. Though she is no longer with us in body, her presence will remain eternally in the hearts of her family and friends.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
A Graveside Service will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery, located at 4400 W Kenyon Ave, Denver, CO 80236, United States. The service is scheduled for October 27, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm.
