Shirlene Keene

August 13, 1946 – September 4, 2024
Obituary of Shirlene Keene
IN THE CARE OF

Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services – Aurora

Shirlene Ann Keene (nee Bleau) was born on August 13, 1946 in Mount Clemens, Michigan at St. Joseph Hospital to Ernest Edward Bleau and Shirley Ann Rivard. Shirlene grew up in Roseville, Michigan, with her family where she met her husband and got married on September 10, 1965. She and Glenn renewed their vows in Las Vegas, NV on May 16, 1999 and they were married for 48 years.

Shirlene had two daughters, Diane and Tinia, and she loved spending time with them and helping them get their own homes fixed up, and spoiling her grandchildren. She loved roses and had many in her home landscaping. She loved watching and feeding hummingbirds at her home on a small hobby farm in Washington State where she also tended chickens, goats and horses.

Shirlene was an Angel on this Earth, she was the nicest woman you could ever have hoped to meet. By virtue of her kind nature, she mothered several other souls on this Earth that needed her comfort and love. Shirlene had a funny side and joked prolifically with her son in law, Victor Miller, and any others that shared her passion for jokes and sarcasm.

She lived briefly in Georgia and Florida after marriage, but joyfully returned to family in Michigan. Shirlene’s mother and sister were her best friends, and no one knew her better. Their relationships with her mother and sister were highlights of her life, and they visited or talked with each other almost daily. Just as important and joyful for Shirlene was knowing her children were happy and safe. She was very grateful to know that her children had excellent partners. To her, Daniel and Larry (Victor) were blessings, and they loved her in kind.

She worked for several factory jobs around the Roseville area and moved into an office position with Dominion Tool & Die in Roseville after completing a medical certification in medical billing and coding at Dorey Business School.

Shirlene is survived by her two daughters Diane (Daniel) and Tinia (Larry); grandchildren, great grandchildren, brother, Timothy; sister, Audrey; and many other in laws and friends. She is preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Ann Bleau; father, Ernest Edward Bleau; two brothers, Ernest Walter Bleau and Ricky Lee Bleau; her husband, Glenn William Keene, and many extended family.

Our hearts are broken, but we find peace knowing she now resides eternally with her precious savior, Jesus. We will continue to hug her in our souls everyday and find beauty in the world to celebrate her. SHe was one of a kind and to be loved by her was to be truly blessed. She will be desperately missed by all those that she's left behind.

We are honoring our kind hearted, beautiful, and funny mother, Shirlene Ann Keene by laying her to rest, surrounded by family in Michigan at a later date. She left this earth and became a citizen of God's glorious kingdom, joining her mother, father, husband, brother and extended family in Heaven. She will be missed here on Earth.
