Ms. Sylvia Ann Thomas

Ms. Sylvia Ann Thomas, age 75, a longtime resident of Denver, Colorado passed away on Friday, July 14, 2023. Sylvia was born in Kansas City, Kansas where she was reared with three sisters; Sharon, Patricia and Pamela. She graduated from Central Senior High School in Kansas City, MO. Sylvia married her high school sweetheart Joe. They enjoyed 31 years together until his death. Sylvia relocated to Denver after Joe passed.

She was a retired nurse who enjoyed playing cards, cooking BBQ, and making sure everyone was fed. Ms. Sylvia enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and of course conversing with everyone, "she loved to talk". Ms. Sylvia was a people person who enjoyed meeting and talking to people. Additionally, Ms. Sylvia was an avid reader, she enjoyed mysteries by authors like James Patterson.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Florence and Robert Lewis; nephew, Anthony Scott.

Ms. Sylvia is leaves to cherish her memory, her sister Patricia (George) Tatum, brother in-love Ken McVey, adopted nephew Mah-Kena McVey, Robert Haskins, Paul and Amari Joy Haskins, Lisa Scott, Bobby Mayhew, Jr., Carla Osborne, Brandy Shields, Jasmine Scott and Rodney Scott and a host of other relatives and many friends.

Mrs. Sylvia Ann Thomas will be laid to rest with her late husband, Joe Alton Thomas in Fort Leavenworth National Cemetery, 395 Biddle Blvd, Fort Leavenworth, KS 66027.
