To the Family & Friends of Adam,

I’m deeply sorry for your loss. I originally met Adam through his many buddies from college after working with his friend Trevor back in 2011. I got to know Adam better once we became neighbours, having lived briefly in the condo building directly across from his. It became a regular ritual for a few of us to be at one of our apartments every weekend, usually playing video games, chatting nonsense til late into the night and sometimes capping it off with some food in Chinatown. Even after I moved to Vancouver and would visit Toronto on occasion, grabbing a bite with Adam at Goldstone Noodle on Spadina remained a tradition.

Through the years I also got the chance to travel with Adam, who was endlessly curious and up for any adventure. From following a random dog up a mountain for an hour in Santiago, Chile (we had no idea where it was taking us) to taking a raft through the mountains in Guilin, China, Adam never hesitated to embrace a new experience and make the most of wherever his travels took him.

Adam was a good friend, always quick to laugh and attentive. I’ll miss our chats, our travels and I know he’ll be sincerely missed by many who loved him.

I am so sorry for your loss.

Although Adam and I didn't keep in touch as much after high school, I will always remember him as AJ.  His love for video games, travel, and adventure were evident as early as our time at Pleasantville, as we roamed the neighborhood on our bikes.

Thinking about you during this difficult time. 

May all your happy memories of Adam provide a source of comfort and strength to you and your entire family during this time.

Adam and I worked together at Instacart and he was one of the best people to just sit, chill and talk to. His zest for travel, just being honest and overall friendly is how I will remember him. This picture is from Feb/ March 2020, just before the world shut down - it is the last time I met Adam irl and I am glad it was a time when we laughed and shared joy. I am so incredibly sorry for your loss Mr and Ms Jang, your son was a good man and we were better for knowing him. 

Adam Jang, I'm sure I'm one of many folks that could say you are one of their closest friends from [x] category. For me it was college. You had many close friends but to me, you were my closest. We both worked at Oddly together and then I brought you to Jibestream. Both of those places were rollercoasters but it was significantly more fun and at times tolerable thanks to you being there. I will miss our cathartic and hilarious coffee walks.

I know you had a good life surrounded by friends who will remember you dearly. I know I have many fond memories of our chaos together. You were always the one bringing people together.  The introvert that made friends so easily you’d make extroverts look bad.

You were truly someone I could always rely on, no matter the situation. I am forever grateful to have had you in my life. I’ve learnt so much from you and will always remember you with a smile.

It is only in hindsight that I can see the effects that Adam had on my life, and in the lives of others. We were classmates in college and took the same bus to school, we were flatmates in Toronto playing video games until sun-up, we were even travellers exploring a world still unknown to us. 

He was driven to see the world and capture it through photography, and always seemed to have a plan for where he wanted to go next – regardless of if it was some natural wonder like Angkor Was (pictured above), or a small food stall in the back-alley of a new city.

I was lucky to be apart of that, and I’ll cherish those memories always. 

I’ll miss you, buddy.

For the little time I spent with Adam showing him some condos options, he was very polite and respectful. He is independent, loves traveling and enjoy his free spirit. May he be in peace and looking forward to his next life. Stay strong and positive ! Gloria and Diego

To the Jang family, 

Please accept my deepest condolences for the loss of your son, Adam Jang. I had the honor of being his classmate at Seneca and I remember him as a kind and compassionate person. Our group of friends used to enjoy spending time together at the school pub after classes. Even after graduation, we would have weekly social events in downtown Toronto  working hard to succeed in the tech industry. I always admired Adam's attention to detail and creativity, on top of his technical abilities working as an engineer. I closely followed his travels capturing beautiful moments and his love for photography. His absence will be felt deeply by everyone he knew.

Dear Gordon, Sandra  and all Adam's Family, 

We did not know Adam very much ; we met him only twice, in 2016,  for Adrien and Jasmin's wedding  ; he was very peaceful and discret and, in the same time, very present.

His timelife on  earth  has been far shorter than what was expected by all the people who loved him ; it was his life 🙏🙏

Where ever he is now, we hope that he can rest peacefully  and we are sure that he will pray and protect you 🙏 ; of course he will remain always present in your hearts and in ours.

We are sorry and very sad that you have to experience and face such an event, and we would have liked to be at your side in this difficult time..

Thank you Adam for the great memories we’ve shared together in our trip to Iceland.  

This is a pic I took of him taking the shot. Here we were in the middle of the night, in a tunnel in the freezing cold on the middle of the road. It was a great trip. I will cherish my travel memories with him forever.
