Arena was a wonderful neighbour of mine for many years. Half the plants in my garden came from Adena's yard. She was very knowledgeable about gardening. If ever I had a question,  Adena had the answer. Her yard was beautiful. It was through Adena that I first joined Richmond Hill Curling Club. She was a very kind lady and always had a smile on her face. My condolences to Tanya and Jeff and families. You will surely be missed.

I feel blessed I was able to spend time with Adena through curling over the past few years.  She always had a smile and made everyone around her feel welcome. I remember when Adena was helping out at one of our functions and got a nasty cut from a chair. Being injured did not even keep her down; she kept helping us from her chair. Adena, our skip, our friend, will be missed by so many. Over the years we rode the rollercoaster of life.  Through the wins and losses of our curling, the emotional joys and sadness in our lives we supported each other with hugs,tears and thankfully lots of laughter and fun.

I knew Adena for over 40 years, first as a fellow curler at RHCC, then as a neighbour in Richmond Hill, then as a dear friend.
She was fun, friendly, and loyal, never forgetting a birthday or a phone call to see how you were doing. And if I ever wanted any news about the curling club or the neighbourhood, I aways knew who to ask.😊
Her house was always open to her kids’  friends and I spent many an afternoon in her backyard admiring her beautiful gardens.
We went on Bonspiels together,  celebrated our May birthdays together, and every month for years we attended the ‘Reel Thing’ to see a film and then coffee afterwards.
She was a big part of my life in Richmond Hill and I will miss her dearly. She was a true friend.

I only met Adena shortly after I retired, but she became my dearest friend.  I always wanted a sister and Adena was the next best thing! I have no words to express how much I will miss her, our mutual love of gardening, our frequent get-togethers for tea and a good chat., or a lunch out.  Adena was a talented gardener and gave me so many plant divisions from her garden, which are now flourishing in my garden.  When I look at them, they will be a reminder of her. The loss of my dear friend is already leaving a big hole in my life.    To Tanya, Jay, Danica ,Lois and all Adena's family I send my most heart-felt condolences.

We had great times at the club and bonspieling outside the club. 

Every spring we would be prowling through the greenhouses for plants for our gardens.  She was my master gardener full of knowledge which she passed on to me.

Always enjoyed curling against you or with you, out of club!  Didn’t matter if we won or lost, we always had fun.
Even just  enjoyed our casual conversations in the lounge.  You will be sadly missed by all of your curling comrades!  You always had a smile on your face and a kind word to say about everyone!!

What wonderful memories we all have of Adena at the Richmond Hill Curling Club.  Whether on the ice or in the lounge she was a great sport.  Planning and working hard at many, many Bonspiels and joining in the fun, wearing silly costumes and just having a good time.  
We will miss you so.

What a shock to hear of Adena’s passing. She was at the Day Ladies Closing Spiel on April 3rd and looked radiant. Thank goodness a lot of us could kiss and hug her and tell her that we missed seeing her at the Curling Club! She was always a positive person and bright light wherever she went or whenever she talked. I will remember her coming to my sisters Celebration of Life, especially when Adena didn’t know her!! It meant a lot to me. Rest in peace, dear friend!! You will be fondly remembered. Lyn Coughlan
