Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday September 29, 2011 in his 87th year. Beloved husband of Barbara. Cherished by his dear children Steven (Toni), Chris (Megan), Tim, Mary (Len Miller) and predeceased by his son Peter. Proud grandfather to Kaitlyn, Stephanie, Leslie, Dylan, Sara, Chris Jr. and great-grandfather to Audrey, Emily and Max. Alec will be held in the hearts of many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Friends will be received at the Thompson Funeral Home, (530 Industrial Parkway South, Aurora) on Wednesday October 5, 2011 from 2 to 4 pm. and 6 to 8 pm. A Celebration of Alec’s life will take place at All Saints Anglican Church (12935 Keele Street, King City) Thursday October 6, 2011 at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, in memory of Alec, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
