I originally planned to say a few words for Anthony at the service but just missed the opportunity to raise my hand. I am Michelle’s cousin and she asked if I could help Anthony, after he suffered his brain injury. Having recently retired from working as a speech-language pathologist, I had experience working with individuals with ABI (Aquired Brain Injury). So, that’s when I first met Anthony. And all the attributes put forward about him at the service were indeed accurate. Two that were not mentioned were ‘resilient’ and ‘strong.’ Anthony worked so hard in rehab to recover! Making two trips out to the West Coast, our family had the opportunity to get to know this kind, gentle soul even more. We will miss him dearly.

Saying goodbye to a superhero. Anthony, was indeed  a superhero. His recovery from his brain injury was a triumph of his will and hard work to get better. I never thought I would see him walk or talk again, and through the loving , devoted support of mom Michelle, Collin, grandmother, aunties, cousins, friends, healthcare sheroes and heroes--an entire village of humans who circled him in love, he walked and talked again, and much more. How touching it was to see a video of him swimming laps with his beloved Abby, dog-paddling back and forth with him. The story of his life is one of a comeback hero.   I will always cherish a weekend I was privileged to spend with Anthony a few years ago, where we hung out, shared some meals and went to see a superhero movie at the cinema, complete with popcorn and soda. He educated me about the world of superheros for the rest of the weekend. Au revoir, superhero Anthony, rest in peace and know you were loved beyond measure and will be missed by many.

Dearest Michelle and family,

When I think about Anthony it is his gentle, kind soul and smile I will not forget. When we played games, he encouraged others and would get so excited when he made a score! His innocence and excitement brought such joy and you couldn’t help but have a smile on your face. Please know Michelle, his love for you was Always on his mind in everything he created at the program. He was a beautiful person on the outside but more importantly on the inside.   During this difficult time, know he’s there comforting you and watching over you.         
   
Anthony will forever be in our hearts, his memories everlasting in those who knew him. Stay strong and know we’re here for you. 





I am so sorry for your loss. I'm so grateful that I was able to meet Anthony when my brother Alan and I came to spend the weekend of his birthday. I really enjoyed the time we all shared together. I found Anthony to be such a kind and gentle soul, with the most beautiful smile. He was an earth angel who had a purpose in this life. He made an impact on everyone who has ever met him or known him. He made a difference to all who have learned from him. His purpose was served and his love will never be forgotten to those in his life.

I am so sorry for your loss. It was a pleasure working with Anthony for the years that I did, and getting to know you along the way. Anthony will always be remembered  for his kindness, enthusiastic personality, and having a smile that lit up the room. The two of you shared such a special bond. Whether we were at the movies, group, or even just out for a walk, you were always the topic of conversation.
One of the best memories I have with Anthony was our weekly trips to Dog Tales. His love for the dogs was one of a kind. When I saw the photos of him with his puppy Abbey, it truly touched my heart.

How do we begin to say good bye to such a beautiful human being as we have come to know Anthony.
My wife and I were shocked to learn of Anthony's sudden passing, we are in total disbelief as to how this could  happen to such a loving, caring person as Anthony.
We have come to know Anthony thru our daughter Amanda and ever since we met Anthony,  he was a very respectful and caring human being.
Over the course of the past few years we embraced Anthony into our family and social life and he will be remembered  as always cordial and respectful of whom he met in our Family.
I especially want to thank Anthony for spending time with my daughter Amanda of which she cared very much for Anthony.
There are no words to express our sorrow for the loss of such a caring human being as Anthony, we will always remember your infectious smile and friendship.

I am so very sorry for your loss and am heartbroken by this sad news.
What I will remember about Anthony was his generosity, his beautiful smile, his amazing laugh, his enthusiasm when talking about - sports, movies and his puppy Abbey.  
Anthony would not only show kindness towards others but also to animals.  At the program, he would always feed the birds and would watch with excitement when they would start eating…especially the chipmunks!! He was a very kind person and everyone who met him enjoyed his company.

 I am grateful to have known such a sweet and thoughtful person. I will miss him dearly.

Some of my fondest memories of Anthony go back to the first time I saw him play baseball as a young boy. He was an amazing and gifted athlete. My most recent memory was sitting in the living room with Anthony, Michelle, Colin, Christine and myself, and enjoying a lively conversation about superhero movies. Anthony was a superhero because of all he was able to achieve and overcome throughout his life. 
I will always remember his beautiful smile, kind heart and quiet strength. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. I’m sending the family my deepest condolences for this devastating loss, though words are not enough to express the sorrow we all feel.

I have a good souvenir of Anthony and Michèle’s visit to our condo in Punta Cana just before the pandemic, he so enjoyed snorkeling  in the pool, but a smile comes to me when I think for lunch when we met Henriette and Peter at the restaurant and we both ordered red snapper and our face when we saw it came with both head and tail…  I said, I’ll have it without head and tail please and Anthony said I’ll take mine like that too..!

I also loved our FaceTime calls and see you and Abbey bring such joy to your Nana…

Since Anthony's unfortuate disability I have had the pleasure of working with him and his mother Michelle.  They were delightful to watch.  He cared for his mother as much as she cared for him.  They became our favorites. Over time I had many interactions with both of them and my lasting memory of Anthony will be his kind spirit in the face of such adversity.  Rest in peace.

Hey Michelle. When we were talking to you this morning I was prompted to pray with you but chickened out. Didn't know how you would receive this.  Mo encouraged me to pray anyway as believe you would appreciate it, so here I go. Lord we thank you for Anthony's life, he is at perfect peace now as only You can give. Father protect the hearts of his mom and Dad, give them peace during this really tough time. Be with them and the rest of the family as they remember Anthony's beautiful calm spirit and his life tomorrow. Give them strength Lord. Also pray for his forever friend his dog Abby as she also mourns her loss. Lord during our times of sorrow and joy we thank you for your presence. Be with us now, pray this in Jesus name amen.

Anthony had a fun loving personality and was full of life. I met Anthony when he was a teenager and  in high school.   He always  had a smile on his face.  He was fun to be with and loved to play around with his mother even when she was serious.  My experience with Anthony was his loved for family and close friends. My daughter who is a young lady spoke highly of Anthony and still have great memories of him. 
She said, he would stop and play with them even if  for a  short while.  Anthony will be missed and his memories will live on. Rest In Peace🙏

RIP Anthony  it  was great to know you  and joke around  I miss u alot . I always  looked forward  seeing u at group . And playing games  with everyone  with u  I loved when we had lunch together  I enjoyed  that . Ur a great guy to have  around  u bring joy to group  all the time I'm gonna miss u alot its sad that ur gone at a young age. I dont think  I'll be able to go to group  knowing  that ur gone  we had so much fun with you I'm . U were a really good  friend/boyfriend. I just can't believe  this happened to you. U didn't  deserve  this  at all buddy. It's hard to take this in as a good friend /boyfriend  of mine I'm crying  so much  writing this for u. Oh my, I know how I feel and in saying so, I can only imagine the devastation. Anthony is a very special person, and holds a very special place with me. And, you must remember the love he had for you, his Momma. Anthony was such a warm and loving soul. I met him through the Newmarket ABI program and he always had a smile on his face and I loved his competitive nature and his love for the jays. I will miss him terribly

Anthony will be greatly missed at the March of Dimes Canada Newmarket Group.  We will always remember his kindness, smile, and laughter.  Anthony’s creativity in arts and crafts was inspiring and constantly amazed us.  When asked who he was making it for, Anthony's response would always be, "my Mom". It is clear that family always came first in Anthony’s heart.

My first thoughts of Anthony are…… a gentle soul with such a  beautiful smile.  We met Anthony only a  few years ago but we bonded right away.  He visited us here in British Columbia where we travelled up the mountain to Silver Star Resort… twice…….he loved it, smiling  from ear to ear. He so loved travelling with his mom Michelle. Many nice memories….makes me smile.


I met Anthony when he joined our ABI group in Newmarket. I really enjoyed his company. He was always happy and light-hearted. He had quite a sense of humour, and we all looked forward to seeing him every week. May God be kind to Anthony, and receive him into his promised reward in heaven. Prayers for Anthony’s family.
