Beloved wife of Leonard Carl Boston and loving mother to Cynthia (Douglas), Cheryl (Bradley) and Blair (Lynn). Cherished grandmother to Tyler, Andrew, Paige, Riley, Adam and Sophia. Audrey will be sadly missed by her brother, Douglas Kilner (Dorothy); along with sisters-in-law, Joyce Rhodes and Doreen Sibbick.
Audrey was born in Toronto, on July 18, 1934, to the late Gertrude and David Kilner. She was the middle child of three. Predeceased by her brother, David Kilner.
Married to the love of her life, Leonard Boston, for 67 years, they were married on August 26, 1955, at Westminister Church in Toronto. Audrey and Len started their family in Toronto, eventually building a wonderful family home in King, where the family resided for many happy years. Audrey and Len have fond memories of the years spent in Newmarket, many a night was spent overlooking the golf course and enjoying the sunset.
Audrey worked for the York Region Board of Education for over a decade in the finance department and was a whiz with numbers. She loved spending time at the cottage in Dorset on Lake Kawagama, and escaping the winter weather at the family condo in Florida.
It was the time spent with her family that gave Audrey her greatest, deepest, and most lasting sense of happiness. Audrey's deep love for her six grandchildren was always evident. She was a wonderful role model for the children, exhibiting class compassion and patience regardless of the circumstances. Blessed with a wicked sense of humour and fun, Audrey always made everyone laugh and feel welcome in her presence. Len will miss her request each morning for "coffee, double cream" and though she never wanted to finish her dinner, she always had room for dessert, chips and salted peanuts. Lots of celery salt on her Caesar was a must!
Audrey's family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Filomena, Venus, Sheen and Christina, for their daily caring support of our beloved Audrey.
A private family Celebration of Life will be held. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Audrey's memory, may be made to CHATS (Community and Home Assistance to Seniors) at https://chats.on.ca/donate/
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.ThompsonFH-Aurora.com for the Boston family.
