We sadly announce the passing of Betty Lorraine Yates on Saturday March 11, 2017, in her 92nd year. Predeceased by the love of her life Robert John (Bob), whom she missed everyday since his passing. Loving mother of Cindy (Steven) Cox, and proud Grandmother of Kate (Aron) Winterstein. Great Grandmother of Zackary, Adelaide and Nathan. Survived by her sister June (the late Bill) McKain. Betty enjoyed a full rich and rewarding life, enjoyed entertaining family and friends at the cottage, the game of golf and wintering in Florida. Many thanks to the staff at Newmarket Health Centre during her final years. Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held on a later date. If desired, in memoriam donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of York Region.
