We were saddened by the news of Bruce's passing and are sending love to Robert, Marlon and Clare and their families as they navigate this difficult time.  Bruce was a keen listener and was always interested in what others were doing. His sense of humour always kept me on edge, never knowing if my leg was being pulled or not. The little twinkle in his eye was always the give away. We wish that we could have had Bruce down to the "Big Boat" to see the goings on which always interested him. We wish you love and peace.


Our most heartfelt sympathies are with Robert, Marlon and Clare 
and their families on the loss of their father and grandfather. We were fortunate enough to become part of the Judges family when our daughter Suzanne and Robert were married.
 Whenever Bruce entered a room there was always an air of expectancy as to what "pearls of wisdom" he would share with us.  It always seemed as if he would never age and go on for ever.  We are really going to miss him.

Much sympathy to all the Judges family on the passing of Bruce, His dad and my mom , Bea Shipley, were cousins . We always enjoyed family reunions. I have happy memories of being able to see  Bruce  in recent years in his yard in Kettleby and totally agree with the words of  his obituary that "  He was a kind man known by all the residents of the area for his gentle manner and smile."
I regret that we are away in British Columbia at this time so will not be able a attend the memorial service. 

I only had the pleasure once of meeting Mr. Judges. If Robert, our friend and his son, is anything like his father, then Mr. Judges was a fine man. Our condolences to the Judges family.

I’ve known Bruce (Mr.) Judges most of my life and always looked upon him as gentle soul and as a steady man working hard to take care of his family. He was always there helping a neighbour and in the Kettleby Fair driving the shuttle bus.  He was a staple in our little village and I admired him for this. Laurie and I offer our deepest condolences, as he will be sadly missed by all.

To Robert, Marlon, Claire and your families, Nancy and I wish to express our sincere sympathy for the loss of your father. Bruce built his house in Kettleby when I was a very young boy and he's been a beloved resident of Kettleby since that time. We will miss seeing Bruce out tending his garden; driving his old Ford tractor (a twin to mine); chatting with us when we met him in the village or grocery store and most of all we will miss being greeted by his wave as we passed by his house on our daily dog walks.

Robert, Marlon and Clare please accept our deepest condolences.   To "The Judges Family" please take strength and be encouraged that you all can take comfort in the many memories you all have and share of  the father, father-in- law, grandfather and friend you knew.

My deepest condolences to the Judges family on the loss of Bruce. Bruce was the kindest, most generous gentleman I have ever known.  I was blessed to be his neighbor for 11 years and one could not ask for a better person to live next door to.  He was always willing to lend a hand and assisted me more times than I can count.  He was also very creative and incredibly independent.  I tried to help him a number of times and he was always one step ahead of me.  I recall the ice storm of 2013, on the 3rd day of no power  I went over to ask Bruce and Louise if I could get them some Swiss Chalet for dinner since they had power in Aurora.  He said no thank you, I will make dinner for us and when I asked him how, he replied  that he would cook using the wood stove.....he was so smart and like I said, always one step ahead of me!  I will miss him dearly and will always cherish my memories with him.  He taught me so much and made me a better person for knowing him.  Rest in peace my friend.

I feel incredibly blessed to have had Bruce as my father-in-law.  He literally welcomed me into his family with open arms and we have had a loving relationship ever since.  I am really going to miss that glint in his eyes when Bruce would look directly into my eyes and then pause ... I never knew what he was going to say next, but I knew it would be clever and humorous!  And, Bruce could build and fix anything - his ability to problem-solve and stick-with-it always impressed me.  He loved his family, his community and his garden and we are all the better for having known Bruce.
