Daniel James Rose

February 5, 1947 – June 7, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden and peaceful passing of Daniel James Rose, beloved father, grandfather, and friend.

Born on February 5, 1947, Dan lived a life grounded in purpose and passion. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Gillian Byrne, with whom he shared a deep and enduring bond.

Dan was a devoted father to his two daughters, Kelly Greenspoon and Christy Licata. He was a proud and cherished Grandad to Jenna, Tegan, Sammy and Ben. Family was the center of Dan’s world, and he gave his time, love, and wisdom to those around him with unwavering generosity.

Beyond family, Dan lived life to the fullest. He found joy and freedom in golf, sailing, and skiing—pursuits that reflected his spirit of adventure and appreciation for the outdoors. He approached life with optimism, humor, humility, and grace, leaving behind memories that will be treasured by all who knew him.

Dan's sudden departure has left a deep void, but his legacy of love, laughter, and loyalty will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

He will be deeply missed.

Visitation for Daniel will be held Friday, June 20, 2025 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Memorial Service to follow at 11:00 a.m. with Light Fare & Refreshments at 12 noon at Thompson Funeral Home, 530 Industrial Parkway South, Aurora, ON L4G 6W8.
