Danny Phillips

With broken hearts, we share that our wonderful brother Danny passed away on Monday Feb 2, 2026, at Brampton Civic Hospital, just shy of his 61st birthday. Danny had a warm, joyful soul and he brought light into every room he walked into.

Danny is predeceased by his parents, Bob and Regina Phillips. Loving brother to Michael (deceased) Karen (Doug), Sandra (Pat) and Laurie. Cherished Uncle of Allison (Mike), Holly (Rob), Ryan, Sean (Joslyn) Egan, (Katie) Conor, Mathew (Daisy) Timothy (Sofie) and Joey (Shalyn). Great Uncle of Harrison, Dean, Danica, Parker, Sydney, and Rylee.

Danny was the youngest member of the Phillips family. He grew up in Kettleby, attended Fairmead School in Newmarket, GW Williams, and Huron Heights. After graduating he went on to work at Arc Industries in Newmarket. Danny enjoyed dancing, and singing with friends and family. He was never shy to jump on stage, grab a microphone and perform for friends or wedding guests.

Danny moved to Brampton in 2014, where he resided with his extended family at his Castlegate residence, managed by Brampton Caledon Community Living. It is here he developed a loving relationship with his roommates and staff. Danny continued to spread his gift of bringing joy, laughter and sunshine into each day.

When Danny became ill earlier this month , both families supported his medical struggles with care, attention and comfort . His sisters would like to thank the staff of Castlegate for the phone calls, visits and comforting words and prayers. They truly supported Danny and our family to his final breath.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Thompson Funeral Home on Friday February 6, 2026 beginning at 2pm. Memories will be shared at 3 pm.

There will be a private family interment in the spring at Kettleby Cemetery.
