David Sinclair

Passed peacefully after a courageous 17 month battle with leukemia, at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket, Ontario, hand-in-hand with his daughter Joanne on January 9th, 2018. At the age of 77, David rejoins his beloved wife Barbara and darling eldest daughter, Debbie, in heaven. Loving father to Joanne Sinclair, of Holland Landing, and Steven Sinclair, of Toronto. Devoted partner of 8 years to Dorothy Bowers, of Marshallville, OH. Cherished Papa to Jesse, Ashley, Elora-Danan and Hannah. He will be dearly missed by his sister Jane and brother-in-law John Page, of Ottawa. Also remembered by his nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. A special thank you to all the staff at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket, who were a part of Dave’s fight, and the Barton Retirement Residence who made Dave’s last few months so enjoyable.

David enjoyed carpentry, country music, and had a wonderful voice, with a passion for singing.

A Memorial Visitation will be held at Thomson Funeral home in Aurora on Saturday January 27, 2018 from 12 – 1 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life at 1 p.m. with a reception to follow.
