It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Donna Marilyn Keffer (Yake) after a long illness from Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. Born on July 15, 1942 and leaving this earth on November 5, 2019. Donna grew up in Aurora her whole life and had recently lost the love of her life Larry Keffer (husband for 56 years). Donna was a wonderful mother, friend and caring individual who will be truly missed. Our hearts have been broken but we know that she has passed on to a better place. Donna leaves behind her three daughters (Kelly, Deanna and Tracey) who cherished her dearly, and six grandchildren that adored her immensely. Donna was surrounded by her family and their significant others: Kelly (Allan), Deanna (Arnold), Tracey (Rick), Jessica (Tyler) Travis (Brittany), Brandon (Araba), Nicole, Joshua and Matthew. We will miss her smile and her kind hearted ways forever. Donna is also survived by her brother Roy Yake (Lynn) along with many wonderful nieces and nephews.

Our loving thoughts are with the wonderful family of Donna & Larry. Both of your parents touched our hearts with their love. Remembering your Fathers many visits always sharing about your Mom, and always on his way to be with her. Remembering your parents visit to pick rhubard to share with her church family, was just one of so many ways she showed love & compassion. Your parents exemplified "Love In Action". May you each be given strength for the days ahead. Beautiful memories last a lifetime hold them close to your heart.

I grew up on Tyler Street with Donna - we were childhood friends and remained friends right through high school She was a wonderful person who was caring and had a heart of gold. I received a letter from her a few years ago updating me on the whereabouts of many of our mutual friends as I left Aurora in 1960. I wish to express my sincere condolences to her family in this time of deep loss. She was a wonderful lady whom I have thought of often over the years and those fond memories will continue forever. Sincerely - Ed Dakin

To Donna’s Girls and their families ,
I was so sorry to learn of Donna’s death . We were all girls together , in Old Aurora . I will always remember her marvellous singing voice , her infectious giggle , and the wonderful twinkle always in her eye !
I last saw Donna at the last A.D.H.S. Reunion several years ago . It was wonderful to catch up , and compare physical frailties ! I had promised to go down to Aurora to visit her , but distance ( I live in Huntsville ) and my own mobility problems prevented that from happening . However , I give thanks for her presence in my life , and am comforted knowing she and your dad are together in Heaven .
Sincerely , Pat ( Davis ) Beal .

Donna and I shared so many great times working in the same Regional Department. She was one step ahead when planning several luncheons and special occasions. I shall always treasure my “little garden ornament” used at my desk and now sits on top of the Organ at home, my wonderful treasure from my wonderful friend, Donna whom I shall always miss.

Our many ‘fun’ times playing cards with Donna and Larry, there was never a dull moment and we enjoyed each other’s company each and every time we were together.

We love you Donna and know you and Larry are together and will be everlasting. Loving you forever, Suzanne & Gerry
