Dorothy Elizabeth Chant-Hannah

Dorothy Elizabeth Chant-Hannah (nee Currell) passed at Southlake Residential Care Village on June 12, 2024. She had turned 95 in March of this year. Dodie was predeceased by her husbands William Chant and Arthur Hannah, her daughters Cathy Willis and Beth Hansen and brother Tom. She will be greatly missed by her brother Bob (Nancy), sons Edward (Susan), Greg (Nancy), Ted (Deb), Garry and Kevin. Dodie was blessed with many grandchildren: Cameron (Kerri), Tyler (Zoe), Katie (Joe), Scott, Nicholas (Michelle), Andrew (Stephanie), Emily, Robin (Steve), Barry (Julia) and Brian.

Many thanks to family, her many friends and the staff at Southlake Residential Care Village for their love and support. A special thank you to her team of dedicated personal caregivers, lead by Melanie Eniego, who provided Dorothy amazing care and loving companionship.

A celebration of Dodie’s life will be held at Thompson Funeral Home, 530 Industrial Parkway South, Aurora, L4G 6W8 on Thursday, July 18 at 1:00 p.m. A reception is planned immediately following the service at the funeral home.

As per Dodie’s wishes, her internment will take place at Lakeshore Memorial Gardens, 701 Rue. Donegani, Pointe Claire, Quebec H9R 5G6 where she will be reunited with both Bill and Arthur. Family and friends are welcome to join Dorothy for a graveside service at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at Lakeshore Memorial Gardens.
