Hello Jacqui, not sure if you remember me (Bernice Lewis's daughter). I was doing a search for some information in Aurora and just now saw this listing. I'm so sorry for you and the rest of your family for the loss of your mom. Mrs. Murray, as I always called her, was a long time family friend and I always remember her zest for life and her endless energy as she was always doing something, especially playing tennis! As well, I remember her contagious giggly laugh! She definitely lived life to the fullest and was an inspiration to us all in that regard! xo

A light has gone out in Aurora and may Flo now rest in peace. She was the epitome of what "being engaged" in your community means, and will be truly missed.
Sincere condolences to all of her family.

When my Mom and Dad were alive Florence was their neighbour on the 4th floor at Hadley Grange and she was amazingly kind and thoughtful to them. I was blown away by the fact that this cheerful ball of energy, well into her eighties thought nothing of preparing and dropping off meals to them to help them out and brighten their day. And I still smile when I think of her as the 'calendar girl' she portrayed not so many years ago. She was definitely a role model for all of us as far as appreciating life and living it to the fullest.

I worked with Flo in my first job at Visiting Homemakers Assoc. many years ago. She was was a great mentor to me with her practical outlook on life and zest for living. She has been a longtime friend and I will miss her letters.

There is a new star in the sky. It's truly beautiful, with a joyful sparkle like no other.
It enhances the night sky by making all the other stars seem more noticeable and remarkable.
Aunt Florence, thanks for making us all feel special. You are, and always will be, one I admire.
Love
