After a brief illness at the Collingwood Campbell House Hospice on Thursday, July 30th at 92 years of age. Beloved husband to the late Ellen Currie. Dear Father to Heather Brouwers (Robin), Paul, Mark (Sandy), Colleen and Donna Domotor. Loving Grandfather to Mark (Krista), Arend, Adrian, Michelle, Nicole Hernandez (Hugo), the late Avery Hewgill, Cooper Hewgill, Vaughan Hewgill and Sloane Domotor. Great Grandfather to Alice and Mateo Hernandez. Brother to Rena Riley. Predeceased by brothers Glen, Donald, Colin and sisters Jean Docherty and Christine Radmore.

Gage lived a full life leaving us all with so many memories. Family, friends, members of his parish and residents of his community in Stayner will all miss him dearly.

The worldwide pandemic has changed the way we will say goodbye to Gage. His children and grandchildren will be saying farewell in a private graveside ceremony. We understand that there are so many others near and far that would like to bid him farewell. In that, the ceremony will be live streamed and can be found by clicking on the following link: http://www.chappelldigital.com/livestream/ on Thursday, August 6th at 11:00 a.m Eastern Standard Time. The ceremony will also be made available for viewing at a later date should you be unable to join the live feed. It is our hope that albeit unconventional, the recording of Gage's ceremony will bring you all peace and closure during these uncertain times. At a later date, when it is safe for all to do so, a Celebration of Life will be held.

Words cannot express how deeply grateful we are to the staff at Campbell House Hospice for their kind and compassionate care. They are truly angels of mercy. Friends who wish to honour Gage may contribute to Campbell House Hospice: Online: https://www.hospicegeorgiantriangle.com/donate. Mail: Cheques may be made out to The Hospice Georgian Triangle Foundation, 240 Erie Street, Collingwood, ON L9Y 0X8 or to the charity of your choice.

I only had the pleasure of knowing Gage for a short time at Blue Mountain, but he certainly made an impression! We spent many moments talking about various things and discovered that we both lived in the same town. He was a fierce, proud and brave man.
I am so grateful to have known him and my heart is with you all.

Thankfully time cannot steal the memories of Gage's bright smile, sense of humour and charm. I loved to listen to the stories of your childhood, your first job, starting your business, stories of your children, of your life.
A memory that is as clear as if it happened yesterday was the first time I came to Gage and Ellen's home. As I was going over the paperwork I vividly remember the way the two of you looked at each other. So in love, even after all those years married. That was in 2006; I admired you both that day and feel lucky to have had the opportunity to know you. Our deepest condolences, Ramona Holm CPA and staff.

Gage was my great uncle, I am Donald's granddaughter, and though him and I only met a couple times in my life my biggest memory of him was his smile, he always joked and laughed and his happiness spread around anyone he was with.
I'm thankful he is with Ellen again.

My condolences to the family!
The change was unexpected but also glad that he did not suffer. Gage would not have liked that.
My memory of Gage is having conversations with him about how he was able to overcome many obstacles in his life yet he made the best of it. We Smiled together while my name for him was “Grumpy “. Rest In Peace and keep smiling Gage!

My family and I have so many fond memories of your Dad (and your beautiful Mom) from Richmond Hill Baptist Church. He always had a ready and beautiful smile!
When I told my Dad that Gage had passed he fondly remembered some of their social gatherings and the fun they had together and he was grateful that they had been able to visit with Gage two years ago.
Sending our sincere condolences to all the Currie family.

With love,
Orval Charlton, Jim and Donna Cutler

We were so sorry to hear of the sudden passing of your father
(Uncle Gage) Sue and I have wonderful memories of Uncle Gage & Auntie Ellen, from vacationing together on P.E.I., to countless numbers of dinners & visits over the years. The best part was his stories and jokes (even the reruns made us laugh again). We are thinking of you all at this difficult time.
