It is with profound sadness and heartbreak that we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, and cousin. Gianfranco passed unexpectedly at the age of 28 on Friday, June 13, 2025.
Gianfranco was not alone in his final moments. He was surrounded by love his brother Giuliano Accardi and two of his closest lifelong friends Marco Pinch and Matthew Ramnarine were by his side, offering comfort and care.
Born on March 13, 1997 in Toronto, Ontario. Gianfranco lived a life defined by courage, compassion, and a relentless drive to create. He was a passionate entrepreneur and proprietary trader, known for his sharp mind, fearless ambition, and visionary thinking. He was the proud founder of Choast, a company he built with purpose and integrity an extension of his desire to carve his own path and make a meaningful impact. His brother Giuliano later became part owner, and together they shared not only a deep bond as brothers, but also a united vision for the future of their business. They dreamed boldly, worked tirelessly, and were beginning to see that vision come to life.
But beyond his professional accomplishments, it was Gianfranco’s beautiful, Big Heart that left the deepest mark. He was selfless always the first to show up, to help, to support. He did anything for anyone without hesitation, and always with humility. His love for his family and friends was boundless, and he offered it freely and fully. His warmth extended to every part of his life including his extraordinary connection with animals. He was, in every sense, a dog whisperer dogs were instinctively drawn to him, sensing his calm, gentle nature. His own dog, Phantom, was more than a pet he was his true friend, his shadow, his source of joy and calm. Their bond was unbreakable, and we find comfort in knowing they are together again, reunited in peace. He also formed a deep connection with Reid, his partner Taylor’s dog. Reid was immediately drawn to him, and the two quickly became inseparable yet another reflection of his rare and magnetic kindness.
His presence was magnetic, angelic and uplifting, his compassion authentic. His absence leaves a silence that will be deeply felt. Gianfranco will be remembered for his extraordinary kindness and infectious laugh.
He will be forever missed by his parents, Philip Accardi and Ennia Luccon; Stepmother Mais Accardi; his brother, Giuliano Accardi; his step siblings Erika and Anthony Dagher; his partner Taylor Sydney Moser; grandparents, Evelina and Armando Luccon and Orsola and Frank Accardi. Aunts: Monica and Cristina Luccon; cousins: Fiorella Elia (Alex Abdilla) and Nick Elia (Cassandra Voutianitis) and an extended circle of family, friends, and loved ones whose lives were made better by his.
