Gillies Russell, at 80 years of age, passed away peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket on Wednesday March 13, 2019.
Born October 19, 1938, Gillies is survived by his loving wife, Helen Russell; daughters, Sharon Ferguson, Lesley Russell, step-daughter, Kistin Baez; his grandchildren, Allana, Danielle, Michael, Andrew, Brianne, Megan, Simone, Sofie, and great grandson, Marcus.
A memorial gathering will be held for a Celebration of Life at the Aurora Soccer Club on Saturday March 23, 2019 from 12 to 3pm, located beside the Thompson Funeral Home at 510 Industrial Parkway in Aurora.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
