Greg died unexpectedly at his Barrie residence due to an apparent heart attack. He was predeceased by his beloved parents Peter and Mary McAteer (nee Kelly). He is fondly remembered by his relatives in the Brady, Massel and McAteer families and his many friends in Richmond Hill, Sprucedale and Barrie. At Greg's request, cremation has taken place and his cremated remains will be interred alongside his mother at St. Mary's Cemetery, Simcoe, Ontario. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Grace Church 15347 Yonge St., Aurora, at 10:00 am Saturday, October 10, 2015, followed by a reception.
