Passed away on Saturday, October 5th, 2013, at Aurora Resthaven Retirement Home at the age of 86. Beloved wife of the late Marinus (Mies) Verbakel. Loving mother of Lorraine (Rob), Mary-Anne, Michael, David (Trish) and predeceased by daughter Susan. Cherished Oma of Iain, Elizabeth & Emily Herd and Darcy & Lauren Verbakel.
Survived by her sisters and brothers Anna, Jaantje, Lena, Martin, John & Jeff. Hendrika will be missed by family and friends. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff of Aurora Resthaven, for their kind and compassionate care. Visitation will be held at the Thompson Funeral Home, 530 Industrial Parkway South, Aurora, 905-727-5421 on Monday October 7, 2013, from 2-4 and 6-8pm.
A funeral mass/Service will be held on Tuesday October 8, 2013 at Our Lady of the Annunciation Church at 97 King Rd, Oak Ridges. Interment at Holy Cross in Richmond Hill. Donations in Hendrika’s memory to: Canadian Diabetes Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
