It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jim Oates, 78. Beloved husband of Lauren Oates for 54 years. Father to his late son Ken, daughter in law Elsa, and daughter Kim. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Logan (Lily), Cole, Jeremy, and Justin. Brother of the late Don (Mardi) and Bob (Francine), Sandra (Jim), Raymond (Doreen), and Debbie (Duke).
A highly respected and admired retired employee of the Ministry of the Attorney General, Ontario Court of Justice as a Justice of the Peace.
The family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider donating to the RVH Foundation in Barrie or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
